Who We Are
Our Staff
Daniel Cook, CPA
Danny graduated from Baylor University in 1972. He worked for Richard S. Werner, CPA for several years before being named a partner in 1977. In 1980, he withdrew from the firm of Werner & Cook, CPAs and formed Cook, Johnston & Co.
He is a member in good standing with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants - Houston Chapter.
Chris Graham, CPA
Chris received his Bachelor of Professional Accountancy from Mississippi State University and his Masters of Business Administration from Troy State University Dothan. After working in public accounting in Alabama for 5 years, he joined CJC in August 2004 and became a shareholder in August, 2008.
Chris is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. He also has certifications from the Alabama State Board of Public Accountancy and the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy.
Janet Yu, CPA
Janet graduated from the University of Toronto with a B.A. in Economics. After working in New York City for several years as an accountant for trading companies, Janet earned a B.S. in Accounting from Rutgers University in New Jersey, where she graduated with highest honors and was inducted into the Sigma Beta Delta Business Honor Society. While raising her new family, Janet then began work at a public accounting firm in New Jersey. Janet also worked abroad in Korea for several years, where she taught an auditing class at Korea Maritime University. Janet has been with CJC since 2003 and is a licensed CPA in both Texas and Maryland.
Mary Johnson, Accountant
A graduate a Georgia Southern University with a BBA in Accounting, Mary joined CJC in December of 2005. Prior to joining CJC, she was employed as an office manager/accountant for a small Texas corporation which encompassed a broad spectrum of accounting and management responsibilities. She also has four years experience as a Senior Budget Analyst for the Office of Planning and Budget in Atlanta, Georgia, as well as four years of internal audit experience.
Laurie Weighat, Office Manager
Laurie joined CJC in September 2004 and has over 30 years of office experience. Prior to CJC, she worked as a payroll manager and bookkeeper for several local school districts.
